NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Bharat Rao is the Global CEO of Startek + CCI Global, and a Non-Executive Director at Capital Square Partners (CSP). He previously served as a Managing Partner at CSP, where he played a pivotal role in the firm’s formation, contributing to the development of its investment strategy and institutionalising its value creation approach. He continues to remain closely engaged, providing strategic guidance on investment matters.

Bharat brings over three decades of experience across private equity, investment banking, and corporate restructuring. He has advised on and executed transactions exceeding US$10 billion, with deep expertise in deal origination, investments, exits, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), due diligence, transaction structuring, and private placements across multiple sectors. His experience spans financial services, natural resources and logistics, consumer and retail, and precision engineering across the US, UK, South and Southeast Asia.

Prior to CSP, Bharat held senior leadership roles across leading global financial institutions and investment firms. He was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in Asia, focusing on financial sponsors, and earlier served as Managing Director at ING Bank in Southeast Asia. He also held leadership roles at Actis Capital Partners as Country Manager for Indonesia and Head of Financial Services for Southeast Asia. Earlier in his career, as a Partner at PwC, he built and led a successful mid-market buy-side advisory practice in restructuring and M&A, driving business transformation initiatives across sectors.

Bharat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). He has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
